A lot of praise and testimonials have rolled in since the launch of my Advanced Twitter Marketing System, but not a lot has been said yet about using it for affiliate marketing. A new testimonial was added there today from Edmund Loh, where he talks about the traffic and sales I’ve sent him for his PLR launches through Twitter – and today I have an even better example of how to use Advanced Twitter Marketing to help you in affiliate contests like new site launches…

At noon today Eastern, 9am Pacific, a fantastic new site is opening at http://www.Resell-Rights-Fortunes.com – a new style of Resell Rights Membership Sites so powerful it’ll knock a lot of the other MRR membership sites out of the biz, or at least leave them scrambling to play catch-up. I was given advanced access to the site, and can tell you right up front I’m more impressed by it than any other membership site I’ve seen – so naturally I wanted to get the word out about it’s launch, and being an affiliate marketer, wanted to make some money while promoting it.

If you don’t already know me, you can probably at least guess by now that I’m not a newbie when it comes to affiliate marketing – have been at it for years, and many people include me when discussing super-affiliates. But while I can usually finish Top-10 in any affiliate contest I participate in, Teri & I run over 150 websites and a dozen blogs, and I’ve written and released 12 – 15 e-books so far, so our focus is more spread across the entire online marketing spectrum.

That leaves me, like most affiliate marketers, mere fodder for the really big lists of dedicated super-affiliates like Patric Chan and Ian del Carmen – both friends, but both able to crush the competition with the size of their opt-in lists. My heavy-duty marketing background let’s me give them a run for the money, but they power through and end up on top… Usually… 😉

The Resell-Rights-Fortunes.com pre-launch is the first time I’ve been able to use my Advanced Twitter Marketing strategies to our promotional mix for an affiliate marketing launch campaign, and here’s how things stood as of last night there:

Use Advanced Twitter Marketing in your affiliate marketing campaigns!

As you can see, it still won’t take you to #1 necessarily – I was sitting in third at that point. But adding in the Advanced Twitter Marketing practices to my affiliate marketing mix was enough to put me just barely ahead of Patric & Ian, each of whom has an opt-in list 3 or 4 times the size of mine.

If you’re a professional affiliate marketer, on intend to become one, you should already be using blogs, an opt-in list and article & video submissions in your mix – now it’s time to give your affiliate promotions that added juice you can only get from harnessing the most powerful Web 2.0 site online for marketers – Twitter. Get your copy of Advanced Twitter Marketing right now and start putting the tactics and techniques to use in your affiliate marketing right away.

Oh, and don’t forget to get into Resell-Rights-Fortunes.com as a member yourself – just sell afew memberships as an affiliate and it nets out to no cost – I’ll be showing you in future posts how to build your affiliate marketing commissions even farther using that site too!

At first glance, affiliate marketing looks like a tough business to prosper in. You may ask how you can succeed and profit from affiliate programs when there are so many other people selling the same products or services. Actually, there are many ways to beat the competition, but the first thing to realize is that the affiliate marketing competition isn’t as fierce as you may think.

First, you should know that of the people who sign up for an affiliate program, only about 10% of them will actually work to market the product or service. The other 90% either won’t do anything at all, or won’t do anything the correct way. So, your affiliate marketing competition isn’t as fierce as you thought it was.

The question, however, is how you can get ahead of those who are indeed marketing the product or service. Let’s start with your website. Even all of those who are actively trying to market the product or service won’t bother to have their own website or blog and domain name. Simply having these puts you ahead of many of the affiliate marketing wannabes.

Next, look at the sales copy that is used to sell the product or service when someone clicks on your affiliate link. First, is it effective? Will this sales page actually make sales? Second, note that all other affiliates will be directing traffic to a page that is identical to this one, no matter how they do that directing. For affiliate marketing success, write your own sales copy, and put it on your own site, and from there link to the affiliate sales page.

How can you better serve your affiliate marketing prospects and customers? Go the extra mile. Write articles, free reports, and short ebooks and give them away to prospects, and make sure you include your affiliate link. Submit articles weekly to the various article directories as well, and contact e-zine publishers about publishing your articles.

Another effective affiliate marketing strategy is to offer a bonus that nobody else is offering. You will have to create the bonus yourself, but you also have the option of purchasing a resell rights package or product that relates to your niche, and giving it away to customers who order through your affiliate link.

Look at what your affiliate marketing competitors are doing – and make sure that you are doing that and more. Keep a constant watch, and always make sure that you are doing more or offering more than they are, and you should always beat your affiliate marketing competition.

Remember that even though affiliate marketing is an online business, it’s still a business. And like any other business, affiliate marketing success requires time and effort – the more you put into your affiliate marketing business the greater your affiliate marketing success and profits!
