Affiliate marketing is not only a good way to start, it can be a long term source of added revenue even when you are up and running with your own products. Just wanted to add an advantage i think is worth a mention, its the amount of products available to you at no cost. So even if a certain product isnt doing very well for you, it wouldnt be hard to change it for another one that does and remember to test, test, test.

Great post. I don’t think there are too many marketers on the net that didn’t start out in the affiliate area. It’s a great proving ground and gives you a good insight into how to look after your own affiliates when you eventually do start marketing your own products and have your own affiliates.
